Illusions and Mysteries
Early on in my career I gave myself permission to present an object or scene as I perceived it, rather than the way consensual reality would have it. Sometimes that meant putting an image on its side or upside down, other times I’d zoom in on just a small detail of an object because that was the part that interested me. It led to images that were often ambiguous and slightly mysterious. While Doorway to Wonderland was a Photoshop creation I couldn’t resist making, most of the others are actual objects simply portrayed in a unique way.
