Tao is the Chinese word for the deep underlying oneness that connects, nurtures, and sustains all life. Water is a perfect symbol. It is ungraspable and transparent by nature, but simultaneously capable of taking on myriad forms as it reflects everything around it. These images reveal some of those shape shifting forms, and hint at the formless mystery beyond them.
