Liminal Space

When the caterpillar spins its cocoon and wraps itself inside a silvery chrysalis it literally dissolves. It willingly gives up all that it was in order to follow the law of its being to grow and evolve into something new. In the fog of unknowing, between who I was and who I had yet to become I deeply identified with this creature. I hoped that I would have the courage of the caterpillar to let go of the past, the trust to rest in no-thingness, and one day be reborn with wings to fly. This entry was written 5 weeks after he died
